Abstract

This research is based on the results of observations and experiences of researchers that children in group B have problems in recognizing and understanding the concept of numbers caused by the lack of interesting learning media. The researcher's problem is whether the snake and ladder game can be applied to develop the cognitive abilities of students in group B Paud Kembang Harapan. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with the subject of research Paud Kembang Harapan. The research was carried out in two cycles, using RKH, children's activity observation sheets. The main purpose of this snake and ladder game is to develop children's cognitive abilities. Therefore, teachers as implementers of fun learning. Teachers still need to continue researching to prove whether the snake and ladder game can develop children's cognitive abilities in recognizing numbers. The conclusion of the results of this study is: the snake and ladder game can improve the arithmetic skills of PAUD Kembang Harapan children. Based on the conclusions of the results of this study, it is recommended that the snake and ladder game can be used as an alternative in learning activities for group B children.
